1972 Mercedes-Benz 280s (Discovery)
I heard about this car from an uncle of mine, it belonged to a 91 year old man who was the original owner. He bought the car brand new in 1971 and would occasionally drive the car until it was parked in 1995. We did a quick inspection of the car and snapped a few pictures. The original color is Horizontblau (Horizon Blue) which looks to be a really light baby blue color.
The car seemed pretty much solid except for the back area, so after a quick negotiating session with the owner, I bought the car, which included the original owners manuals! Now to get the car towed home!
1972 Mercedes-Benz 280s (Tear down begins)
After getting the car home and giving it a good wash, I discovered that the paint was shot and also a few more rust spots not to mention rats were living in the car. I got myself a can of Lysol and also made a solution of various cleaning and disinfecting agents and went to work cleaning the inside of the car.
Pulled the seats out and noticed that rats had made their nest inside of the rear seat.
